Magic 106  Knicks 102:  It wasn’t so long ago folks were optimistic.  It wasn’t so long ago folks thought things were going to be different around here.  It wasn’t so long ago folks were actually muttering the word playoffs.  Playoffs?

No one’s optimistic now.  Things aren’t different around here now.  There will be no playoffs now.  The Knicks’ loss last night dropped their record to 28-42.  The Knicks loss last night assured them of an eighth consecutive losing season.  A franchise record tying eighth consecutive losing season.  The last Knicks teams to do such a thing were the Knicks teams from 1959-60 through 1966-67.  2010 can’t come soon enough.

Japan 5  Korea 3:  Like the man says, good pitching beats good hitting every time.  Japan had some good pitching last night.  Last night, Hasashi Iwakuma retired Korea’s first eleven batters.  Last night, Hasashi Iwakuma tied the WBC record for batters retired to start a game.  In fact, there have been only three other games in which a pitcher was perfect through three innings and one of the other cases was also by Iwakuma against Korea.  How about that?

Flyers 4  Devils 2:

Peace out homies.  Six two and Even!
